Co 3 responded to a two vehicle accident near Glade Farms Rd
Co 3 members met for their monthly training night. This months training was Air Pack competency. The SCBA (Self contained breathing apparatus) was gone over completely, with each part explained, this was a great refresher for everyone attending Then fire fighters had to assemble it blindfolded while doing a hose maze to find the unassembled parts.
On Feb 9, 2019 42 members from Bruceton VFD, Bruceton Ambulance, Albright VFD, Cheat Lake VFD, Preston County Sheriff, CJ's Auto, TA Towing, and Masontown VFD invested their morning, training on the National Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Program. Company Three had a hectic day today. Units initially responded to interstate 68 for a motorist assist at the 17 mile marker. While on the scene of that accident there was another accident on the same scene due to poor road conditions. After the second accident more units were dispatched. 321 and 318 responded to assist 319. At approximately 1840 hrs BBVFD was dispatched with BCAS to an MVA that was reportedly over the Embankment. Rescue 321 responded with a crew of five volunteers. Rescue 321 arrived on scene to find one vehicle approximately 50-60 feet over an embankment. Crews assisted EMS with patient package and used a 4:1 rope system connected to a stokes basket to assist the patient safely back up the embankment so that EMS could continue care of the patient. Company Three was activated at 1237hrs by Preston 911 for a report of a structure fire on North Preston Highway. Crews arrived on scene to find one single story structure fully involved. Crews quickly got to work to get the fire under control. Company 5 Kingwood, Company 1 Albright, and Markleysburg Fire Departments were all on the scene to assist. Crews worked together to bring the blaze under control for some time.
